Vidarbha Karvati Kinar Saree is a handwoven Indian silk saree from Maharashtra’s Vidarbha region, known for its distinctive “karvati kinar” or “saw-tooth” border. These sarees are traditionally woven using handspun raw Tussar silk .
The “Karvati Kinar” is named for its saw-tooth-like pattern, which is a signature element of this unique textile art. Each saree takes 2 weeks to weave. This saree has been accorded the GI tag for it’s uniqueness.
